Solar Panels

There is an opinion article by Rhone Resch in today’s Austin American-Statesman about the growth of the solar industry in the United States.

There is additional information in an article in the October 31, 2011, issue of C&E News. There one can find that there were bankruptcies of seven companies in the last eighteen months possibly connected to a decline in the prices of solar panels.

China was blamed in a petition prepared by a group of solar panel manufactures and addressed to the Department of Commerce and the United States International Trade Commission. The complaint alleged that the accused country had been dumping solar panels in the United Stated at prices below those in China or lower than the production costs in China.
