Global Warming Controversy Heats Up

The justification for creating a renewable energy industrial park in Pflugerville would seem to have been based in a large part upon concerns about man-made global warming.

On October 20, an article entitled “The Case Against Global-Warming Skepticism” with the subtitle “There were good reasons to doubt, until now” by Richard A. Muller appeared in The Wall Street Journal. The article is about the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature (BEST) study about temperature data collected from stations set up in the past for
providing such data. In the last sentence in the article, it is mentioned that the extent to which climate temperature changes can be attributed to human activities through carbon dioxide production was not determined in the BEST study. So the study did not really address the main concerns held by global warming skeptics.

The Muller article has drawn a lot of attention. Commentary is abundant from many sources and provides very interesting reading.
